Nestled in the heart of the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains, 2,222 feet above sea level, lies the town of Roslyn, Washington. Founded with the discovery of coal in conjunction with the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1886, the town’s original population was due almost entirely to the coal industry. Storefront Studio sought to highlight Roslyn’s unique street character, highlight community platforms, retrace historic stories and paths, and provide places for Roslyn’s visitors to stay.
